The Power of the Pause

I once had the pleasure of meeting Maria Shriver. I was invited to a party that she and her (then) husband, Arnold were hosting at their weekend retreat outside of Washington, D.C.

She struck me as an unusually strong and down-to-earth person. Capable of great empathy and yet totally driven.

Ms. Shriver recently delivered the commencement speech at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication, and hit on an inspiring and insightful message for tomorrow’s communications leaders, and for the rest of us …… the power of the pause.

At 6:40, 8:30, 12:30, 15:20 she offers some really poignant insights.
