The Curci Group Approach

The Curci Group led meetings twice monthly with all four Executive Directors to come to a shared understanding of each organization’s core competencies, needs, and available resources. Periodically, we invited peers of each organization’s leadership team to present existing and future programming, food services, volunteer coordination and other aspects of their enterprises to build awareness and trust essential to collaboration. Meetings were rotated, so that they took place at each organization’s current facility. The centerpiece of the engagement was the creation of an organizational framework clarifying agreements around 16 separate themes. The themes include communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, security, community partnerships, events, fund-raising and others. We also piloted some of the collaborations well before groundbreaking in order to work out any potential problems beforehand.
